Breaking Free from the Old Story

Transform Your Body and Your Relationships

Rewriting the Story of Disempowerment

Do you struggle with extra weight even though you eat right and exercise?
Do you take care of everyone in your family, but feel underappreciated?
Do you always feel challenged by a mean boss or parent or spouse?

The Biggest Secret

to resolving your problem is to realize you have been stuck inside a story.  Your particular story of betrayal, abandonment and trauma may differ from that of your neighbor.  But here is what is the same for everyone.

There are three main characters in the story for which we all audition:

The Victim
The Persecutor
The Rescuer

The Victim

Let’s take a classic story every reader could relate to.  First scene: enters a woman with a low self esteem. Her name is Mary and she plays the Victim.  The theater of life provides Mary with the perfect costume:  slumped shoulder, bulging belly, pains and aches everywhere, gloomy dark dress. And her monologue is “the world is not a safe place”.

The Persecutor

Then enters Mary’s corporate boss (or husband or father), Peter, who plays the Persecutor.  The Persecutor has the hard job of judging, yelling at, and tearing Mary into shreds.  The most important point to understand is that the Persecutor would be out of a job (cease to exist) if there was not a Victim on trial. (Victims create Persecutors in their live.)

The Rescuer

The third character in the story is Mary’s mother. She calls Mary every day with “valuable suggestions”. The Rescuer is a popular role and many of us audition for it: therapists, healers, environmental activists, care givers.  However every Rescuer MUST have a Victim she can fix. The Victim can NEVER get better in this dynamic.   Mary will not find happiness, the Earth will not heal, your friends and family will not get better if you are attached to rescuing them, they can’t – YOU are in the way.

The Hidden Cause of Being Stuck

As our story unfolds, because Mary’ is not getting better, her mother gets impatient.  She says Mary doesn’t appreciate her.  In fact the mother is outright angry that her efforts did not pay off.  In her anger she becomes the Persecutor leashing out at Mary.

But mom quickly gets a heart attach from all the stress and blames Mary for it.  So now mom is the Victim and Mary is the Perpetrator.  Sure enough as a Perpetrator Mary feels more courageous, she has had enough of being a Victim, so she quits her job. Instead she decides to be an animal activist.  Mary will Rescue helpless animals and take care of her sick mother.

And so the story keeps rolling, you just change costumes from one role to another. Like a hamster running on a wheel inside a cage, 24/7 you are inside a story. And that’s what I call being stuck.

To fulfill your role in the story perfectly you will manifest diseases, relationship breakups, accidents, etc. It is scripted in the role.  You auditioned for it. You got it. Now you live it.

Unless… you get of the wheel.

How to get UnStuck on the Spot:

If I am stuck, like after an argument where I feel Victimized.  Or I am working too hard, trying to Rescue clients, I stop and affirm to myself in a strong voice

I am not a Victim.
I am not a Persecutor.
I am not a Rescuer.

I snap myself out of the story.
And then I forgive myself for temporarily buying into the story to begin with.
I breathe and I shift my mental state on the spot.
Who knows how many accidents, diseases and divorces I have avoided just by doing this.

How To Create Sacred Space

How to Create Sacred Space for Transformation

5 Simple Steps that Will Take You Far

Anytime you are going through a period of transition in your life it  is important to create a safe place for yourself.  In other words, a sacred space where maximum release and transformation is allowed.   Here are five simple things you can do.  Weather you do all five or just one does not matter.  It is your intention to create a safe place of compassion for yourself that matters.

1. Light a candle(s). Or if a candle is not available, imagine a burning candle near you.  The element of fire serves as a clearing agent for whatever toxic energy is being released.  Think of forest fires that “eat up” the overgrowth and the toxins in the land.  So will the candle flame (real or imaginary) mulch what you are releasing so it does not get reabsorbed into your body.

2. Visualize a dome of light around you. Whether you are sitting at your computer or relaxing in your favorite chair in front of the television,  remember that you are not only the body and mind of a personality. Be present as a soul. Prepare the space around you by visualizing a dome of transparent light that surrounds you. This is your sacred space wherein the soul can arise to the surface of your personality. Invite your whole self to be present.

3.  Breathe into the Belly. Your ability to release what is holding you back directly depends on your ability to EXHALE. Breathe into your belly.  Relax the jaw.  Exhale fully.   For guidance follow Olga’s Transformational  Breathing Meditation CD.  It will allow for a maximum  breakthrough.

4.  Play soft music in the background. The busy mind is often running over what you must do tomorrow or who you forgot to call yesterday.  And as crucial this function of the mind is for our mundane success, such ‘congested activity” maybe an inhibitor when it comes to releasing your fears and blocks.   To create more “space between the thoughts” play soft melodic music in your car, at work, at home.  It will create a state of FLOW in your mind, in your body and in your relationships.

5. Allow the child-like innocence forth. You can relax knowing you are within a safe space and that your inmost self – the child within- can come out. You are now better equipped to process your time of transition in life  from a perspective of innocence, less concerned to “conquer disease, fix and get on with it”, and more willing to simply absorb the experience itself with trust that the most benevolent outcome is already available for you.
