nuts are often used as a base in recipes--I know I need to limit having them. You can try experimenting with Irish Moss as a substitute. It easily takes on other flavors and is versatile in use.

Great substitute for nuts is seeds. They are lighter and not as allergenic. I do not use much nuts anymore. My favorites are sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Give them a try and tell me how it goes!

Hi,
If you could answer me this: What would you suggest substituting for nuts, and how would I use it? Seeds perhaps? I am allergic and it is quite a problem.
