Have you ever had something you were excited about, but chose to keep safely to yourself? Here’s something I would never have considered sharing publicly – but times are changing…

I was out running in the hills with a full moon rising, when a fierce bobcat, secretive and rarely seen by humans, revealed himself to me on the trail. Time stopped. Stunning. Stealth. He grabbed me with his stare, and I sensed his power immediately; I knew without a doubt that he could pounce straight  for my jugular if need be. “I come in peace. I come in peace,” I panted, bowing. Without letting me out of his sight, the bobcat walked s-l-o-w-l-y off into the brush.

“You passed the test,” I heard. “What test?” I asked breathlessly as I raced home. I was shaken up, but I wanted an answer, so I googled ‘bobcat totem’ immediately. It said: “Share your intuitive powers. Even more, teach others how to hear and act upon the guidance of their own soul. It will help them through their challenges.”

“What is at stake if I don’t share?” I asked.

“Simple: you’ll get sick. Power unexpressed turns in on you.” That sounded familiar.

Six months ago, my husband badly injured his knee. Our family business – a progressive construction company – was at a crossroads. He could no longer walk and work in the trenches. Something had to shift. I did a divination ceremony in the hills to ‘download’ a new map for our family.

For me, a ‘download’ is an intimate conversation with my Source – the wise ones who reside in the territory of the soul. It’s like phoning God, and the reception is most clear when I dance, run or do anything highly physical. Until now, I’ve been discreet as to when and where I speak of this part of my life.

Years after choosing not to get back on the bus and return to Ukraine, I boarded a dilapidated Greyhound and rode across country to Boulder, Colorado. I woke up early this morning, Vladi and I are off to the Harbin Hot Springs for the weekend…

good times in the woods, soaking in the mineral pools, raw food.  Total privacy, no cell phone reception, no clothes, one big watermelon, and unlimited chill out.

So I figured I make a blog post before I go, cause my fabulous VA Kristin said I should post 2-3 times a week to build up a sweet relationship with my people, you.

I thought I would write about the super exciting NEW THING I just made, a thing that you can actually take home and have it ROCK YOUR WORLD, like it did mine.

But along comes an experience and the avoided emptiness within transforms into Beingness. A story of two sisters, Masha and Dasha…...

Masha: There is a vast space inside of me, too vast. I must fill it up with something. A ripe pear in the basket looks good. And a bag of crackers with the left over Chow Mien. I eat Chocolate ice-cream at the refrigerator and the honey layered cake. Something salty to balance – a pickle, o.k., two, and the frozen pizza and peanuts. Now a desert to finish up, lets see… .

Dasha: There is a vast space inside of me, too vast. I must fill it up with something. Rock climbing, then volunteering at the homeless shelter, then a Yoga class. Tonight they have a Kirtan after the class, so I’ll do that too. I should grab something nutritious to keep my body going: a ripe pear in the basket looks good, sea-weed crackers, bottled water, power bar, o.k., two. And something for a peace of mind, yes, Vitamin B supplement.
